We have slightly altered our banding schedule, starting this coming Monday (9/14). We'll be banding M,W,F at Frye's Landing, Tues. and Sat. at Niagara, and Thur. at Erie Bluffs. We decided to cut back on our days at Erie Bluffs because we're not catching many birds there, and there may not be enough data to analyze for that site. We decided to add a day to Frye's Landing, since it's our best site for numbers of birds. We'll be sending an email out as well, to let people know of the change.
Yesterday was another good day at Frye's Landing- we caught 47 birds total throughout the day. Today, at Niagara, we had two groups of visitors. Jerry McWilliams' birding class visited in the early morning, and a birding club from Pittsburgh visited later in the morning. Luckily, we had a couple of birds to show each group, but not huge numbers of birds.
