Mon. Sept. 27 @ Fry's: 2 ruby crowned kinglet, 3 black capped chickadee, 3 gray cheeked thrush, 4 swainson thrush, 5 gray catbird, 1 northern cardinal, 1 blue jay, 2 brown thrasher, 1 song sparrow= 23 birds total.

Tues. Sept. 28 @ Niagara: Closed for rain

Wed. Sept. 29 @ Fry's: 12 golden crowned kinglet, 1 brown creeper, 2 myrtle warbler, 1 house wren, 1 common yellowthroat, 13 white throated sparrow, 2 swainson thrush, 1 gray cheeked thrush, 3 black capped chickadee, 1 downy woodpecker, 6 gray catbird, 5 northern cardinal, 1 yellow shafted flicker = 49 birds total.

Thurs. Sept. 30 @ Bluffs: 1 winter wren, 1 house wren, 6 blackpoll warbler, 3 swainsons thrush, 2 white throated sparrow, 2 song sparrow, 1 gray cheeked thrush, 3 eastern tufted titmouse, 3 hairy woodpecker, 1 wood thrush, 1 red bellied woodpecker, 1 eastern towhee, 1 northern cardinal, 1 white breasted nuthatch= 27 birds total.

Fri. Oct. 1 @ Niagara: 6 brown creeper, 10 ruby crowned kinglet, 11 golden crowned kinglet, 1 magnolia warbler, 2 nashville warbler, 2 black throated blue warbler, 12 myrtle warbler, 14 hermit thrush, 16 white throated sparrow, 1 white crowned sparrow, 2 gray cheeked thrush, 1 gray catbird, 1 northern cardinal, 1 downy woodpecker, 2 eastern tufted titmouse, 3 swainsons thrush= 85 birds total. (switched to this site due to strong winds at Frys)

Sat. Oct. 2 @ Frys: 3 brown creeper, 6 golden crowned kinglet, 1 ruby crowned kinglet, 1 nashville warbler, 2 black throated blue warbler, 61 myrtle warbler, 4 slate colored junco, 1 black capped chickadee, 6 white throated sparrow, 6 hermit thrush, 2 white crowned sparrow, 1 downy woodpecker = 94 birds total. (switched to this site due to strong winds at Niagara)

WOW! As you can see from Sat's numbers, the myrtle warblers have arrived!!!! This was only with the nets open for 4 hours! We got shut down by rain. Many birds had to be released before processing for their safety. But we are encouraged by the fall rush- FINALLY!!!! :o) Hopefully more to come!
