It looks like she put her mascara on for her close up. She has an adorable curly eyelash feather! :o)

We caught a fox sparrow!!!!!!! Life bird!!!!

Monday Oct.11 @ Frye's: 1 ruby crowned kinglet, 37 myrtle warbler, 1 black throated blue warbler, 3 slate colored junco, 27 white throated sparrow, 4 hermit thrush, 1 gray cheeked thrush, 2 song sparrow, 1 eastern towhee, 1 blue jay, 1 northern cardinal, 1 hairy woodpecker, 1 brown creeper, 1 swamp sparrow = 82 birds total.

Tues Oct. 12 @ Niagara: 6 golden crowned kinglet, 3 brown creeper, 1 black capped chickadee, 2 swamp sparrow, 13 white throated sparrow, 1 white crowned sparrow, 15 hermit thrush, 1 blue jay, 1 cooper's hawk, 1 eastern tufted titmouse, 1 northern cardinal = 45 birds total.

Wed Oct. 13 @ Frye's: 22 golden crowned kinglet, 2 brown creeper, 1 nashville warbler, 113 myrtle warbler, 1 slate colored junco, 4 black capped chickadee, 1 field sparrow, 19 white throated sparrow, 1 song sparrow, 1 downy woodpecker, 2 hermit thrush, 1 northern cardinal = 168 birds total. WOW! What a rush!

Thurs Oct. 14 @ Bluffs: Too windy to band :o(

Fri Oct. 15 @ Frye's: 10 ruby crowned kinglet, 3 brown creeper, 25 slate colored junco, 1 field sparrow, 2 eastern tufted titmouse, 4 hermit thrush, 1 downy woodpecker, 2 black capped chickadee, 16 white throated sparrow, 63 myrtle warbler, 66 golden crowned kinglet = 193 birds total. The Fall migration is officially here!!!!

Sat Oct. 16 @ Niagara: = 4 brown creeper, 20 ruby crowned kinglet, 41 golden crowned kinglet, 2 black capped chickadee, 3 slate colored junco, 3 myrtle warbler, 9 white throated sparrow, 6 hermit thrush, 1 swamp sparrow, 1 white breasted nuthatch, 1 fox sparrow, 2 red bellied woodpecker = 93 birds total.

ThAnK yOu So MuCh to the volunteers who rushed to our aid when we sent out the SOS! Our nets were filled to the brim with birds! Good numbers this week. Let's hope the weather cooperates...
